Vivienne Horle, on this campsite in June 2022Ī perfectly positioned campsite with easy access to Beaulieu sur Dordogne and the surrounding area. Good value for money and would definitely return. Would make excellent centre for touring the area. Short, easy walk into wonderful town with shops, restaurants and medieval buildings. Large, comfortable pitch by the river (no ACSI discount but worth it) and lovely surrounding countryside. Really lovely site: staff friendly, cheerful and hardworking able to order bread, nice pool, good laundry provisions and clean fully equipped sanitary facilities (the best on our trip this year!). Steve&Bern, on this campsite in September 2022 This however could be a long way from your pitch and the area is commonly used by groups of campers for meals etc. When I raised the issue with the staff they pointed out that there is a common barbecue that anyone can use. The site has now banned their use which seems excessive as we have never seen the ground here parched or even particularly dry. The only quibble I would have with it is that the ACSI guide shows all types of BBQ are permitted and in previous years we have enjoyed using our charcoal BBQ. it has restaurants and bars and an interesting medieval church The staff are very helpful and friendly and the town is only about five minutes walk away. We.have stayed on this excellent campsite several times over the last few years and have enjoyed everyone. Rental accommodation is also offered to holidaymakers who will have the opportunity to stay in a fully equipped mobile home, in a lodge cabin, in a tent canvas and wood or in a trailer.Eric Shrimpton, on this campsite in June 2023 Large shady or sunny sites are offered to campers who can stay in the heart of the campsite or by the river. Children between 5 and 11 years old will be able to participate in manual and fun activities organized by the camping team. There are also many places for climbing in the area. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy fly fishing with pleasure. The proximity to the Dordogne will allow in particular to do water activities such as canoeing, kayaking or canyoning. During their stay at Les Iles campsite, it will be possible for holidaymakers to do outdoor activities. Spring games are also present and everything is arranged on a damping floor. For the youngest guests there is a large outdoor playground, shaded, with playful structures to climb with slides, bridges and climbing walls. A bowling alley is present for petanque lovers and it will even be possible to enjoy the library for moments of tranquility. It will be possible to play ping-pong and foosball. Outside the pool, holidaymakers can enjoy other activities available to them. All around the pool has been arranged a solarium area with deckchairs and parasols that will allow you to relax. With the pool is a dedicated children's area with a paddling pool and an aqua-play area with slide. The latter offers a generous area and a rounded shape that, combined with the perfect temperature of the water will make bathing very pleasant. The campsite Beaulieu sur Dordogne is located in front of the medieval city of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and therefore offers a proximity to many cultural sites that make the Dordogne Valley.Ī large heated swimming pool is present in the campsite Beaulieu sur Dordogne.
